The next step was to cut out a small space for a 6 mm eye. I've place several tools within reach, including a dental hygiene tool (on the right in the picture below) I've used later on for sculpting.

During the proces of cutting away resin I noticed that the head was particularly thin at the location I was working and I decided to make a hole instead of cutting out a bit of space for an eye. The original idea of placing a 6 mm eye changed into making a hole for an 8 mm eye that can be exchanged like the normal eyes of the head.
In the pictures below you can see the hole and the tools I've used to shape the eye to fit an 8 mm eye. You can also see the pencil lines that indicate the location where I originally had planned to place the 8 mm eye.

The next step is making the mouth with teeth and an extra eye.
